Block Ads is a free adblocking app for Incoggo that allows you to block annoying, spammy ads from loading. Block Ads is a great free alternative to paid apps like AdGuard.

Block Ads isn’t enabled by default when you install Incoggo, but after installing Incoggo, you can easily set Block Ads to ‘Enabled’ in the dropdown ‘Apps’ menu. After enabling the app, simply browse the Internet normally and Block Ads will automatically block ads for you!

Block Ads currently uses ‘host’-based blocking methods (so in practice, it works similarly to a Pi-Hole). While in its current form you’ll still see some ads (like video ads), Block Ads does block the vast majority of ads.

We’re currently in the process of adding in HTML content filtering (so that Block Ads will include additional ‘page’ filtering — similar to how AdBlock Plus or uBlock Origin work — nixing those pesky video ads, among a few other types) — Block Ads v2 should be available soon!
